In the NewsGrant Awarded to Tahoe Basin

Adopt-A-Watershed (AAW), Sierra Watershed Education Partnerships (SWEP) and the Lake Tahoe Environmental Education Coalition (LTEEC) were recently awarded a Proposition 13 grant to fund a Regional K-12 Adopt-A-Watershed Coordinator in the Tahoe Basin as well as a Community Project Coordinator for the Tahoe-Truckee School District. Besides funding these support positions, funds will also send teams of local teachers to the AAW Leadership Institute and provide local teacher training workshops and watershed education curriculum for use in the Tahoe schools.
