Free Holiday Tree Recycling
Location: Preston Field, Incline Village, NV
WASTE NOT, the IVGID community conservation program, offers free holiday tree recycling for North Tahoe residents. Residents may drop off their holiday tree anytime between December 27, 2004 and January 14, 2005 at Preston Field, located off Highway 28 in Incline Village. All trees dropped off at Preston Field will be chipped and used as mulch for local erosion control projects, whereas all trees left curbside will be taken to the landfill. Please help WASTE NOT reach their goal of 1,200 trees. Please remove all ornaments, tinsel, nails, wire, and other items which may cause harm to the tree chipper or operator. WASTE NOT will not accept stumps, wreaths, yard waste, cut up trees, etc.
