SIerra Club Evening at Stonehenge
Location: Stonehenge, South Lake Tahoe
Join the Tahoe Area Sierra Club for an evening of wine tasting. Taste the organic wines of the Fitzpatrick Winery and hear Brian Fitzpatrick talk about organic winemaking, his completely solar-powered vineyard and B&B and take questions from the group. His wines are now featured in several Tahoe restaurants.
Jim Hildinger, often called Tahoe's Ansel Adams, owner of Angora Lakes Resort and longtime environmentalist, will sign his collection of wonderful Tahoe photographs, Tahoe In Black And White.
Our setting for the evening is the unique Tahoe Stonehenge---a house that is built into the boulders with the rocks forming one wall as well as forming a cavern where you enter. The great room is built around another boulder with water running right through the house. You have never seen Nature brought inside as it has been here.
Two Sisters Catering will provide great cheeses and other goodies to munch on. We want this to be a big success and we want to build on it each year. We are encouraging all of you to try to attend and to sell tickets to anyone who would like to join us. The tickets are $20 for SC members and $25 for nonmembers. To sell a ticket, collect the appropriate amount and tell the buyer that their ticket will await them at the door. Report the sale and the buyer's name to audna_elizabeth@yahoo.com so we can keep track of it, and send a the money via check to Tahoe Area Sierra Club, P.O. Box 16936, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96151
