SWEP Teacher’s Interpretive Hike Series: Forest Health Burning Issues
Location: TBA
Sierra Watershed Education Partnerships is offering three winter workshops for teachers interested in learning more about Place-Based Learning using Lake Tahoe as the focus for standards-based education. All interested K-12 teachers are invited and the workshops are provided at no charge. Buy back credits or district units offered.
This workshop will focus on the natural processes that are in a healthy forest system and the role fire plays. How can we avoid a catastrophic fire? Come find out more about the history and science of fire in the West. Meet community partners wanting to involve schools in restoration and defensible space projects.
