High Sierra Resources Workshop
Location: Carson-Iceberg Wilderness
For the eleventh consecutive year, this unique Workshop will take 15 to 18 year old high school students from the forest-urban interface at the BLM’s Silver Saddle Ranch in Carson City to the heart of the Carson-Iceberg Wilderness for eight days of hands-on, thought provoking environmental education fun. Students will work directly with natural resource specialists to gain a better understanding and appreciation for the natural world around them and find out about possible career tracks in the natural resource fields.

The workshop this summer will run Tuesday, June 15-Tuesday, June 24. Only a limited number of students will be selected from applications submitted through local high school teachers or through direct contact with the USFS or BLM. Call for more details. The deadline for applications is Friday, May 16. A registration fee of $100 is due upon a student’s acceptance into the program.
